Enter some basic information, including Location Preferences, and don't forget to hit the submit button. You MUST enter a valid email address in order to submit an online application.
Our Enrollment Manager will get back to you within 48 hours (Monday-Friday) to complete the application process.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between Head Start and Early Head Start?
Head Start serves preschool children ages 3-5, while Early Head Start serves pregnant women, infants and toddlers. We have center-based services available in Campbell, Claiborne and Scott Counties and home-based services available in Campbell, Claiborne and Hancock Counties.
I have placed an application for my child in the past. Should I submit an online application for next year?
No. We already have your family's basic information. If you are interested in applying again, or your contact information has changed, please send a message with up-to-date contact information to info@cpec.org and let us know you would like to place another application; or, you may also call our central office at 423-626-9270 and leave a message for the Enrollment Manager, Andrea Mitchell, and she will return your call.
I have a child who has applied in the past (or child who is currently enrolled). Do I need to submit an online application for a different child?
No. Since we already have your family's basic information, you don't need to submit an online application (even for a different child). Just send us a message at info@cpec.org and let us know which child you would like to place a new application for. You may also call our central office at 423-626-9270. My child is currently enrolled in the program. Do I need to submit an online application for him/her to return next year?
No. If your child is currently enrolled, you will not need to submit an online application for next school year. Your Family Advocate will contact you about returning to school next year or you can contact your Family Advocate.
Can I apply for a specific center?
Yes. When you select the program you are applying for (Head Start or Early Head Start), you'll be able to select a location preference. If you do not know which center you'd like to apply to, you can leave this blank and our Enrollment Manager will contact you.
When will I hear from someone about my application?
You will be contacted by a staff member within 48 hours of submitting an application (Monday - Friday). A staff member will contact you within 48 hours (Monday - Friday) to discuss completing the application process. You can help speed up the process by having your child's proof of birthday and your proof of income readily available. How will I know if my child is getting in the program?
If your child is selected to participate in either the Head Start Program or Early Head Start Program, you will receive an acceptance letter in the mail. You will also be contacted directly by a staff member to discuss setting up a home visit and any additional documents needed.
