Connecticut Municipal Website Analysis CPEC searched the Web during the summer of 2003 for websites maintained by Connecticut's 169 towns and cities. While 15 of the smallest towns do not have a presence on the Web, the vast majority of Connecticut's local governments have websites that offer a wide range of services to their residents. CPEC inventoried how communities use their Web sites so that government leaders and residents could see what other towns and cities are doing. Focusing on both information that helps citizens participate in local government and general government services, CPEC identified a list of online functions and gave a point score for each item on a local website.
